Ambassador Nozipho Joyce Mxakato-Diseko of South Africa and Director-General for Energy of the European Commission Ditte Juul Jorgensen, co-chairs of the Advisory Board, provided information on the work of the Advisory Board to develop a Voluntary Code on Critical Minerals for the Energy Transition, an update on the content of the meetings that have taken place and the roadmap for upcoming actions.
Representatives of the United Nations Member States welcomed the Advisory Board's briefing on its activities, expressed its priorities on the issue of essential mineral exploitation and energy transition, and requested that the Advisory Board continue to regularly inform Member States on its activities.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Head of the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations, highly appreciated the efforts of the two co-chairs and the Secretariat in managing the activities of the Advisory Board, emphasizing that Vietnam, as a member, has actively contributed to the discussions of the Advisory Board and wishes to promote specific results in the coming months.
Vietnam is in the process of implementing the Partnership Agreement on a Just Energy Transition and the work of the Advisory Board can support Vietnam's climate action efforts as a developing country in transition.
Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang emphasized that Vietnam strongly supports the purpose of the Advisory Board to develop a Voluntary Code on Essential Minerals for Energy Transition and hopes that countries will be able to participate in contributing and supporting the activities of the Advisory Board in the coming time.
