The 7th International Exhibition & Conference on Horticultural, Floricultural and Fruit Production and Processing Technology in Vietnam (HortEx Vietnam 2025) has just opened in Ho Chi Minh City.
HortEx Vietnam 2025 opens with many exciting activities
On March 12, 2025, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City), the opening ceremony of the 7th International Exhibition & Conference on Production and Processing Technology of Vegetables, Flowers and Fruits in Vietnam (HortEx Vietnam 2025) took place. The event will take place from March 12-14, 2025, attracting many major domestic and international partners.
At the event, there were two important programs: Vegetable and fruit export forum with the theme "Promoting the Development of Modern Retail Market for Vietnam's Vegetable and Fruit Export" and Flower export forum.
Along with that, within the framework of the exhibition, there will be a series of seminars and workshops to exchange very practical content for policymakers, import-export businesses and people.

Workshop on application of hydrolyzed shrimp protein and Chitosan in fruit and vegetable cultivation; Workshop on improving productivity and quality of durian and coffee by applying precision irrigation solutions; Workshop on application of trees and flowers in greening cities, improving quality of life.
Seminar: “Sharing experiences of gardeners”. Focusing on sharing solutions to improve quality, build brands and develop sustainable fruit orchards; Concerns of farmers: Innovation in the form of production organization in agriculture; Developing and improving the capacity and efficiency of cooperatives; Consensus and cooperation in exporting products from growers; How standards should be applied correctly and appropriately; Competitiveness in putting products on commercial shelves; Current sources of flower varieties in Vietnam…

According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Vinh, Director of VEAS (organizing unit), through many events, HortEx Vietnam has affirmed its position as the largest international trade event in Vietnam dedicated to the vegetable, flower and fruit industry. The exhibition not only helps Vietnamese enterprises access advanced technology, but also plays a role in connecting trade, expanding the domestic market and boosting exports.
In addition, HortEx Vietnam 2025 is a reliable meeting point and an important bridge for international traders to access the Vietnamese market. This event will help promote business cooperation and improve the skills of enterprises, experts and people working in the production and processing of vegetables, flowers and fruits of Vietnam and internationally.
According to the reporter, today, the event attracted the participation of more than 300 exhibitors, nearly 400 brands from 30 countries and territories.
Notably, HortEx Vietnam takes place in parallel, at the same location as Asia's largest agricultural machinery exhibition - Agritechnica Asia 2025. Through this combination, the event series promises to become a comprehensive platform for manufacturers, suppliers and farmers to access advanced agricultural technology, contributing to promoting innovation and sustainable development for the agricultural sector.
In 2024, Vietnam's estimated fruit and vegetable export turnover will reach 7.12 billion USD, an increase of 27.1% compared to 2023. This is the first year that the fruit and vegetable industry has reached and surpassed the 7 billion USD threshold. Regarding the fruit and vegetable industry's export markets, China is the overwhelming leader with 4.3 billion USD. The second largest market is the US market with 320 million USD. South Korea and Thailand are the third and fourth largest markets, respectively.
