Military Region 4 Economic Cooperation Corporation celebrates 40th anniversary

On the morning of March 22, the Economic Cooperation Corporation/QK4 held a ceremony to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and delegates attended the Celebration Ceremony.

Attending and sharing joy with the unit were Deputy Minister of National Defense of Laos - Senior Lieutenant General Thoong Loi Sỵ LI VONG; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Laos to Vietnam Kham Phao On Tha Van; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam, Commander of Military Region 4 Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh; Political Commissar of Military Region 4 - Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung; Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh; Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh.

Exactly 40 years ago, on March 23, 1985, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee - Military Region 4 Command decided to establish the Economic Cooperation Company to carry out the task of economic development, infrastructure construction and contribute to ensuring security in the border area between Vietnam and Laos, with the initial scale being only a single-industry production site of Military Region 4.

Comrade Thoong Loi - Si Vong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense of the Lao PDR presented the Friendship Medal to the Economic Cooperation Corporation of Military Region 4.

After 40 years of construction and growth, the Economic Cooperation Corporation has continuously developed strongly, successfully completed the task of combining national defense and security with economic development, and performed well the role of "Combat Army, Working Army, Production Labor Army".

As a defense and security enterprise organized and managed in the form of a parent company - subsidiary company, operating in many industries and professions, the company has an average current revenue of about 3,000 billion VND/year, contributing an average of 700 billion VND/year to the budget;

The Corporation was honored to receive the title of Hero of Labor in the renovation period from the Party and State of Vietnam.

With the glorious results and achievements in 40 years of construction and development, the Corporation was honored to receive many noble awards from the Party, State, and Ministry of Defense of Vietnam and Laos. In particular, the Party and State of Vietnam awarded the title of Hero of Labor in the renovation period.

The Military Region 4 Economic Cooperation Company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate its new headquarters at 187 Le Duan Street, Vinh City, Nghe An Province.

On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, the corporation also held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate its 15-storey headquarters.
