Promoting the beauty of ASEAN in response to the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh

The photo exhibition “ASEAN Country and People” is scheduled to take place at Nghe An Provincial Museum from May 10-20. The activity is part of the Sen Village Festival, organized by the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Nghe An Province.

This is an activity to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 1969), to express the gratitude and respect of the people of the whole country, and to promote the image of Nghe An, his homeland, as well as the image of the country and people of ASEAN to international tourists.

The exhibition is expected to feature about 200 selected works from photographers from Vietnam and 9 ASEAN countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand); including 150 photos from other countries and 50 photos from Vietnam, including 20 photos from Nghe An and 30 photos from other localities.

With Ho Chi Minh's ideology, Vietnam's diplomatic and international integration activities have achieved many important successes, creating a peaceful and favorable environment for the development of independence, unity and territorial integrity.

Among these achievements, Vietnam's relations with ASEAN countries have been increasingly strengthened. Vietnam has established strategic and comprehensive partnerships with many countries, and actively and proactively participated in regional forums to enhance the country's position and strengthen cohesion within the bloc.

The Lotus Village Festival in Nghe An is an annual event held every May, to celebrate Uncle Ho's birthday. This year, the program is expected to last 10 days, including a number of outstanding activities such as the flower offering ceremony at Ho Chi Minh Square, Uncle Ho Memorial House, Chung Son Temple (President Ho Chi Minh's ancestral temple); cultural activities, art performances, sports competitions, camping and Lotus space, Nam Dan countryside market, inauguration of the 9-storey waterfall at the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan...
