More than 1.4 million trees planted during the 2025 Tree Planting Festival

BHG - Implementing the Tet tree planting program on the occasion of the Spring of At Ty in 2025, the whole province has planted more than 1.4 million new trees, including over 1.3 million forestry trees, nearly 146 thousand urban trees and some other tree species; reaching 102% compared to the results of the Tet tree planting in 2024.

Officials of the Provincial Forest Protection Department participated in the 2025 Tree Planting Festival in Ngoc Duong commune (Ha Giang city).

The Tet tree planting program on the occasion of the Spring of At Ty 2025 was implemented by the Provincial People's Committee from February 3 to March 15. According to the assessment of the professional sector, this year's Tet tree planting program continues to receive attention and positive response from all levels, sectors, units and a large number of people, ensuring the right purpose and requirements according to the province's plan. After planting, the trees were inspected, accepted, and evaluated by departments, sectors and localities for implementation results, and at the same time handed over to organizations, individuals and households for direct management, care and protection.

Through the implementation of the Tet Tree Planting Program, it has contributed to raising awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities at all levels and communities for forest protection and development as well as environmental protection, natural disaster mitigation and climate change response. In addition, the program also aims to continue to concretize President Ho Chi Minh's advice when he visited Ha Giang: "We must pay more attention to forest protection and afforestation" and the Project to plant 1 billion trees in the period of 2021 - 2025 launched by the Prime Minister.

It is known that, from the positive spread of the Tet tree planting movement and the participation of all levels and sectors, as of March 2025, the whole province has planted nearly 24 million new trees, reaching 121.3% and reaching the target ahead of schedule assigned by the Government according to the Project to plant 1 billion trees in the period of 2021 - 2025.
