On the evening of February 21, Bybit, one of the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, was hacked and assets including 400,000 ETH and some tokens related to this currency were stolen, estimated to be worth up to 1.46 billion USD.

After the hacking information appeared on social networking platforms around the world, Ben Zhou, CEO of Bybit, spoke up on X to confirm. Accordingly, the hacker attacked a cold wallet containing ETH of the exchange, while other hot wallets and cold wallets were still safe.

According to Bybit, the stolen cryptocurrency was stored in a multisig cold wallet. According to Ben Zhou, Bybit made a transaction to transfer ETH from a cold wallet to a hot wallet, however, the transaction was impersonated by hackers who impersonated the signature interface to confirm the transfer of funds between the two wallets.

Investigators said the transfer was manipulated by a sophisticated attack that altered the smart contract logic and obscured the digital signature interface, allowing the attacker to control the ETH cold wallet.

According to Ars Technica , this means that multiple systems within Bybit were hacked in a way that allowed the perpetrators to manipulate the Safe wallet interface on each authorized person's device.

Security experts Dikla Barda, Roman Ziakin, and Oded Vanunu of Check Point commented that the Bybit attack proves one thing: no matter how strong smart contract logic or multi-signature protections are, the human element is still the weakest link.

The latest figures show that the Grok 3 model has helped xAI achieve new successes. According to market research firm Sensor Tower, Grok downloads in the US and globally increased more than 10 times in the week Grok 3 was launched compared to the previous week.

Grok app users in the US increased more than 260%, and globally it increased 5 times.

This growth is partly due to Grok expanding into European, Latin American and Southeast Asian markets.

Meanwhile, according to information platform SimilarWeb, daily visits to Grok's website increased from about 189,000 to more than 900,000 in the days after Grok's launch. Globally, daily visits increased from 627,000 to 4.5 million.

TechCrunch commented that these are “impressive” numbers, but the question is whether xAI can maintain growth momentum and retain users.

When releasing Grok 3, Musk claimed it was the smartest AI in the world. xAI devoted massive resources to developing Grok 3, including a data center in Memphis that houses nearly 200,000 GPUs.

The model's computational power is said to be 10 times that of Grok 2. In various benchmark tests, Grok 3 beats competitors like OpenAI's GPT-4o, Google's Gemini 2 Pro, and DeepSeek V3, especially in areas like mathematics, science, and programming.

China is ahead of the West in terms of the size of its humanoid robot industry, controlling more than half of listed companies despite being behind in technology, a Morgan Stanley report shows.

Of the 100 listed companies the bank identified that are involved in developing humanoid robots, 56% are based in the mainland. China is also home to 45% of the companies that customize robots according to end-user requirements (integrators).

According to Morgan Stanley, investors complained that there were no Western companies for them to add to their humanoid robot portfolio other than Tesla and Nvidia.

Most humanoid robots today are used in industries, especially logistics and manufacturing, while others are used in research and education.

Some robots perform daily tasks in Chinese hotels. In January, they even performed ethnic dances on state broadcaster CCTV’s Spring Festival program.
