Dong Nai warns of a trick of impersonating the District Military Command to trick parents into registering their children to participate in a virtual "heroic child soldier" program.
Today (March 1), the Military Command of Dong Nai province warned about a scam impersonating the Military Command of Trang Bom district to recruit and call on parents to register their children to participate in the "heroic child soldiers" program.
According to feedback from parents, posts have appeared on social media promoting a military experience program for children aged 4-13. The program, called “Heroic Child Soldiers,” takes place over two weekends, aiming to train children in life skills and discipline.
Notably, when parents contacted, the subjects also provided the address of the Trang Bom District Military Command (50 30/4 Street, Trang Bom Town) to create trust in parents. Many families mistakenly thought this was a local activity, so they contacted to register their children to participate.
However, the Trang Bom District Military Command affirmed that the unit did not organize any program called "heroic child soldiers", nor was it related to any recruitment event as advertised.
"The messages sent to parents regarding the Trang Bom District Military Command organizing the above event are fake information," the representative of the District Military Command emphasized.
Trang Bom District Military Command recommends that parents should be vigilant against the above programs. When receiving invitations to participate in programs at the District Military Command, everyone should contact the phone number 02513.866273 directly to verify or report to the nearest police station.
