Ms. Vu Thi Lien - mother of singer Hoa Minzy said that her daughter's organization of the launch of the MV Bac Bling in her hometown Bac Ninh made her proud. Ms. Lien shared with VietNamNet that although her daughter's health is not good, she puts all her heart into everything she does, always trying to do it without anyone being able to stop her.
Before the MV release on March 1, Hoa Minzy's family stayed up until 4am to discuss welcoming guests. Although the commune and village were very supportive, the singer still wanted to control every step, even buying matching teapots and cups to welcome guests, Hoa Minzy also participated, only when she approved would she feel secure.
Before the MV release, Hoa Minzy could not eat rice because of anxiety, only eating a piece of cake to survive. The singer's mother loved her daughter so much that she made a bowl of bird's nest for Hoa Minzy so that she would have the energy to attend the event. At 3am, Hoa Minzy still could not sleep because she had to text and manage work. Her mother said that her daughter could only sleep for a short while, and had to wake up at 7am to put on makeup in time to go to the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee to receive a certificate of merit.
Because of supporting her daughter and taking care of the backstage, Ms. Vu Thi Lien had trouble sleeping, and her eyes were burning in the morning. Hoa Minzy's mother said that the family had prepared 80 dishes but still worried that there wouldn't be enough to entertain her because more guests were coming to see her daughter than expected. The family had to tell each other to eat later and save the dishes for the guests.
Hoa Minzy's mother was less worried because 30 of her daughter's biggest fans also went back to their hometown in Bac Ninh to help prepare the party. Vu Thi Lien was not confident when booking the party so she hired someone to cook the food from the ingredients she chose herself.
Although tired, Ms. Vu Thi Lien said she was "happy" because everyone on the street knew she was Hoa Minzy's mother. However, what she was worried about was her daughter's health because Hoa Minzy was so caught up in work that she had to be hospitalized during Tet. Not to mention her busy work schedule, the travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi caused her to have a heat stroke leading to a cold, and she still had to take medicine before the MV's release, which made Ms. Vu Thi Lien worried.
Regarding her daughter's unfulfilled marriage, Hoa Minzy's mother said "thinking about her makes me cry".
Her sister said that Hoa Minzy is the breadwinner of the family, is that true? To this question, Ms. Lien replied: "Yes! With Hoa, if her siblings and children are in difficulty, I will take care of everything, without discrimination.
Before that, I worked as a cook for the company kitchen for 10 years. When I moved to Saigon with Hoa, I had to quit, which made everyone regretful. If I hadn't been tied down with Hoa, I would still have a job and it would be more fun to stay home and work because looking after my grandchild is very stressful. But parents have to follow their children."
