The above information was given at the workshop "Vietnam - China Higher Education: Opportunities and Challenges in the 21st Century - The Digital Intelligence Era" organized by Hanoi National University in collaboration with Tsinghua University (China) on the morning of March 1.
The workshop aims to create opportunities for connection, exchange and academic discussion between experts and researchers from Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Tsinghua University (China) and Vietnamese universities in the field of higher education in general and higher education with the support of artificial intelligence (AI) in particular.
According to Director of Hanoi National University Le Quan, this school and Tsinghua University are two leading educational institutions in Vietnam and China, both possessing strong potential in training and scientific research, especially in areas such as information technology, artificial intelligence and educational management.
Establishing a sustainable partnership between the two universities will not only promote scientific progress in the field of AI, but also open up many opportunities for practical applications and lay the foundation for joint initiatives between the two sides. Promoting academic exchanges, organizing joint workshops, building joint training programs and conducting interdisciplinary research on applied AI will help both sides develop comprehensively, while improving the quality of education and training of specialized human resources.
Professor Khuu Dung, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Council of Tsinghua University, said that the university attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Vietnamese education departments and universities, including Vietnam National University, Hanoi. In the future, Tsinghua University will continue to strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese partners in the fields of talent training, scientific research, etc.
In the coming time, Hanoi National University and Tsinghua University will cooperate in research; exchange of lecturers and researchers, exchange of students; exchange of documents in education, research, publishing and academic information.
On this occasion, the leaders of the two universities will discuss the establishment of a joint research center/laboratory on artificial intelligence; and at the same time sign a cooperation agreement on student exchange. Accordingly, students of the two universities participating in the program will be exempted from all tuition fees and have their accumulated credits recognized during the exchange period, supported in finding accommodation, medical care, and participating in language and cultural exchanges...
Also in 2025, the two universities plan to launch cooperation programs in training senior management for Vietnamese managers and business leaders; and research cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, information technology, new materials and high-tech fields.
Hue University and Da Nang will be developed into national universities.
