Da Nang City leaders offer incense at the Quang Da Special Zone Historical Site

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the delegation of Da Nang City leaders respectfully observed a minute of silence to commemorate the great contributions of the great President Ho Chi Minh; to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and the construction and protection of the Fatherland.

After the incense offering ceremony, the delegates visited the exhibition hall and the office building of the Quang Da Special Zone Party Committee. This was where many important meetings were held to plan strategies and lead the revolutionary movement during the most difficult period of the resistance war.

Under the leadership of the Quang Da Special Zone Party Committee, the army and people of Quang Da overcame many difficulties and challenges, changed the situation on the battlefield, liberated Quang Nam - Da Nang and made an important contribution to the complete liberation of the South and national reunification.

Hon Tau is known to be a mountain range bordering Duy Xuyen and Que Son districts (Quang Nam), consisting of many rugged mountain ranges. Since 1967, the Quang Da Special Zone Party Committee chose this place as a revolutionary base in the resistance war against the US, which lasted until 1975.
