On March 25, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh and the Government's Special Task Force No. 2 inspected a number of projects facing difficulties in Quang Nam. Accompanying the delegation was Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung.
At the Nam Hoi An Resort Project, the Government Working Group requested Quang Nam province to coordinate with the investor to issue a specific document on the current status of the project so that the Working Group can advise on a definitive solution, helping the project to continue implementing phase 2 smoothly and on schedule.
The Nam Hoi An Resort Project has a total area of over 985 hectares, with a total investment of approximately 4 billion USD. The project is divided into 7 phases with the goal of building a complex resort, high-class entertainment, 5-star standard. Currently, phase 1 of the project has been completed and put into operation, in which in addition to the hotel, commercial area, tourist apartments, golf club, high-class restaurant, bar, shopping area, swimming pool, the project also completed a 36-hole golf course, with nearly 150 hectares. The total investment capital of phase 1 of the project is over 1.3 billion USD, phase 2 is expected to continue to invest nearly 1 billion USD.
Currently, the implementation of phase 2 of the project is facing some procedural difficulties due to objective factors. Phase 2 of the project will be implemented on an area of nearly 209 hectares, with the main items being the construction of a resort with rewards for foreigners, corresponding infrastructure works, accommodation rooms, houses, commercial works, services, entertainment works and public areas...
Based on the assessment of the members of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh requested Quang Nam to act as the focal point to connect with investors, urgently issue specific documents on the current status of the project, current problems and proposals from the locality. On this basis, the Working Group will advise the Prime Minister on specific solutions by the end of this week and resolve the problems immediately after the Prime Minister gives instructions.
