Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Truong Son, Party Cell Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of The World and Vietnam Newspaper, emphasized that the Party Cell Congress took place in the context of the entire Party making efforts to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress. The country is entering a new era with new development goals, including merging, streamlining the apparatus, and setting higher economic growth targets to continue to enhance the country's position in the international arena. Vietnam not only participates in important international events but also proactively proposes and implements initiatives of great influence. Foreign affairs continue to be an important and regular task, closely linked to national defense and security in protecting national interests. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the restructuring process is also taking place strongly, with the acquisition of additional functions of a number of related agencies, and the appointment of new leadership personnel to meet the requirements of the new situation.
Party Cell Secretary Nguyen Truong Son emphasized the important role of the Party Cell in leading and directing the unit to perform well its political tasks, contributing to the foreign information work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the whole country. The Party Cell has always maintained its political stance, innovated and created, contributing to improving the quality of information, spreading the image of Vietnam to the world, closely following political tasks, foreign information and propaganda activities of the Party and State leaders, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs... However, comrade Nguyen Truong Son said that the collective of The Gioi and Viet Nam Newspaper cannot be satisfied with the achievements that have been made but needs to continue to innovate, rise up, keep up with the requirements of foreign affairs and modern journalism, and better perform the political tasks assigned by the Party and State.

In the summary report of the 2020-2025 term, comrade Hoang Diem Hanh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, affirmed that the Party Cell always thoroughly grasps and strictly implements the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The World and Vietnam Newspaper has actively participated in press awards such as: National Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle), Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, Foreign Information... and won many prestigious awards. The Party Cell also focuses on Party development work, fostering political theory for cadres and Party members. During the 2020-2025 term, 8 outstanding people were admitted to the Party, and 6 Party members were officially recognized, bringing the total number of Party members to the highest level ever.
Regarding the orientation for the 2025-2030 term, The World and Vietnam Newspaper identifies the key task as continuing to improve the quality of propaganda, accurately and promptly reflecting the foreign policies and guidelines of the Party and State. The Party Cell will focus on innovating the content and form of propaganda in a specialized and modern direction, strongly applying digital technology and artificial intelligence to press activities, creating a unique mark in Vietnam's foreign press. At the same time, the Newspaper's Party Cell continues to promote its pioneering role in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against false and distorted arguments. Party building work continues to be focused on, ensuring that the Party Cell is a strong leadership nucleus, promoting the spirit of solidarity, democracy and creativity throughout the unit.

He affirmed that the Party Cell has performed well in its leadership and direction of foreign information work, contributing to spreading the country's image and enhancing Vietnam's position in the international arena.
Regarding the direction for the 2025-2030 term, comrade Pham Chien Thang emphasized a number of key tasks:
Firstly, spend reasonable time on Party building and unit building, be flexible in propagating and disseminating political ideology, revolutionary ethics, policies and laws of the Party and State.
Second, focus on building a team of cadres and party members with high qualities and professional capacity, continue to strictly implement Directive 05 of the Politburo on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.
Third, strengthen inspection and supervision work in the Party Cell, ensuring good implementation of political tasks and Party building work.

The Party Cell conducted the election of the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, elected the Party Cell Secretary and Deputy Secretary, and elected official and alternate delegates to attend the 29th Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Congress also passed the Resolution for the 2025-2030 term with specific goals and directions, affirming the determination of all Party members to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, improving the quality of foreign information work, contributing to the overall success of the diplomatic sector in the new development period.
