(NLDO) - Posting false information about being "drugged", woman fined 7.5 million VND
On February 20, the Internal Political Security Department of Da Nang City Police issued a decision to administratively sanction a woman who spread the news that she was "drugged" in the area.

Specifically, Ms. HKL (21 years old, residing in Hoa Minh ward, Lien Chieu district) was administratively fined 7.5 million VND for posting false information.
Previously, on February 17, Ms. L. posted an article titled “Warning corner: I was drugged tonight, it was terrible”, saying that a stranger asked her to hitch a ride on his motorbike on Vo Van Kiet Street (Son Tra District, Da Nang City) on the evening of February 16.
Ms. L. said she did not take the stranger but only downloaded the app to book a ride for him. Afterwards, she showed signs of fatigue, so she suspected she was drugged.
According to the article, the victim ran into a nearby restaurant and was taken to the emergency room by locals. The article quickly attracted more than 11,000 likes, 10,000 comments and 28,000 shares, causing panic among the public in Da Nang.
Woman fined 7.5 million VND for posting false information
After investigation, the units identified and worked with the young man who was the "stranger" in the above false story.
This person confirmed that there was no such thing as "quitting drugs" as Ms. L. posted.
Da Nang City Police advise people to be careful in accessing and verifying information on social networks.
When detecting acts with signs of violating the law, promptly report to the police for verification and handling, do not share information, causing public confusion.
