The riverside sidewalk along Thang Long Street (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City) has been renovated with separate paths for bicycles and pedestrians, and parking bays.
On the morning of March 24, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced the completion and put into use the project to renovate the riverside sidewalk landscape along Thang Long Street, from Asia Park to the border of Cam Le District.

Accordingly, the project is invested by the Management Board of Construction Investment of Traffic and Agricultural Works of Da Nang City. The project will start in May 2024, with a total investment of 44.2 billion VND.

According to the investor, Phong Linh trees will be planted along the sidewalk of Thang Long Street. This is the first project in Da Nang that is proposed to use Phong Linh trees to create a highlight of the landscape and shade for the area along the Cam Le River.
In addition, maintain the existing shade trees on the sidewalk of Thang Long Street, relocate trees and species that are not suitable and affect the general landscape; plant new trees such as: Phong Linh, Than Hoa Tim, Mong Bo, Truc Can Cau, Tuong Vi, Muong Tim, Cau Cau, Bach Trinh Bien, Mo Ket, etc.
The project creates a highlight for the landscape on the west bank of Cam Le River.
The riverside sidewalk landscape along Thang Long Street has a sidewalk width of 15 - 21.6m, arranged with a bicycle path with a washed stone base; the walking path is paved with natural stone, arranged with stone benches, seats, exercise equipment... to create a space for playing, walking, exercising to improve the health of people inside and outside the area.
Parking bays are arranged along the sidewalk. Of which, 2 bays are arranged between Dao Tri - Truong Chi Cuong Street, 2 bays between Truong Chi Cuong - Nguyen Xuan Nhi Street, 4 bays between Nguyen Thanh Y - Dang Nguyen Can Street, 5 bays at the intersection of Vu Trong Phung Street and one bay at stop number 4.
The decorative lighting system is also newly built, including: lighting cabinets connected to the center via 4G communication technology; lighting the walkways of the entire project; the bicycle route is arranged with recessed lights horizontally in one direction.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Huy, Director of the Management Board of Traffic and Agricultural Construction Projects of Da Nang City, after nearly a year of urgent construction, the project to renovate the riverside sidewalk landscape along Thang Long Street from A to the border of Cam Le District has been completed, meeting the requirements of quality and aesthetics.
"The project's completion and use will contribute to improving the quality of life of people in the area, promoting the value of the riverside road, and creating a premise for the development of neighboring commercial service areas in the area," said Mr. Huy.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee, said that the project contributes to synchronously connecting technical infrastructure, continuously connecting the riverside walking route, beautifying the landscape, consolidating green areas for the city, creating public living space, entertainment for the community in the area. At the same time, it is also a highlight of the city's landscape on the west bank of the Cam Le River.
