The delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission.
Joining the delegation were Mr. Pham Hung Thai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Colonel Le Van Vy, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.
The leaders visited the Stele House of the Historical Relic of the Central Propaganda Department of the Southern Region (Tan Binh Commune, Tan Bien District) and the Stele House of the Historical Relic of the Central Mass Mobilization Department of the Southern Region (Tan Lap Commune, Tan Bien District).
At each location, members of the delegation respectfully burned incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the cause of national liberation, so that the country could have peace, independence, prosperity and happiness as it does today. The delegation listened to members of the Relics Group of the Southern Central Bureau Base recount the activities of their ancestors during the resistance war against the US to save the country.
Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia thanked the Management Board of the Southern Revolutionary Historical Relic Sites for preserving, caring for, and embellishing the Party's historical relic sites in the area over the years, including the Central Propaganda Department Historical Relic Site of the Southern Central Bureau, and together with the local authorities, for promoting the value of the relics very well. This is also a work of gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who worked and fought in hardship for the cause of national liberation.
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited, presented gifts and congratulated officers and soldiers of Tan Phu Border Guard Station (Tan Bien district) on the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Border Guard (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2025) and the 36th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2025).
Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia advised border guards to continue promoting good traditions, especially focusing on doing well in defense diplomacy, working with neighboring countries to build a peaceful, united, friendly border, and fight against cross-border crimes.
