The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) has just announced the enrollment plan for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year at the High School for the Gifted. Accordingly, this year's exam will be held on May 24-25.

Contestants are junior high school graduates in 2025 nationwide, with the condition that they must have academic and training results for the entire school year of junior high school classes from Good or higher and a junior high school graduation grade from Good or higher.

In 2025, the school will not recruit directly or add bonus points. In previous years, candidates only took exams in specialized subjects. This year, due to changes in regulations, the Ministry of Education and Training requires specialized high schools to organize exams in 3 subjects: Math, Literature and 1 subject from the subjects that students study with their specialized subjects.

To participate in the exam, candidates must complete 4 exams, including 3 general subjects: Literature (essay - 120 minutes), Math (multiple choice - 60 minutes), English (multiple choice - 90 minutes) and the specialized subject is one of the following subjects: Literature, History, Geography (essay - 150 minutes).

Candidates register for the exam online from April 14 to May 6. The exams are scored on a 10-point scale. Candidates who are eligible for admission must take all 3 general exams and the specialized exam, and must not be suspended from the exam; at the same time, the score of each general exam must be 4.0 or higher, and the score of the specialized exam must be 6.0 or higher.

Exam results will be announced before June 20 on the school's website.

In 2024, the school's total enrollment target is 140, including 70 enrollment targets for Literature majors, 35 enrollment targets for Geography majors, and 35 enrollment targets for History majors. Last year's benchmark score for the Literature major class was 8.0; the History major class was 7.5; and the Geography major class was 7.0.
