Provincial Party Secretary received a working delegation from Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation

Dien Bien TV - On the afternoon of March 13, comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, received a working delegation from Saint Petersburg city, Russian Federation, led by Mr. Kalganov Vyacheslav Gennadievic - Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Saint Petersburg city. Also receiving the delegation from Dien Bien province were comrade Giang Thi Hoa, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Lo Thi Minh Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; comrade Vu A Bang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of provincial departments and branches.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong chaired the reception for the Saint Petersburg City Delegation.

Speaking at the reception, Mr. Kalganov Vyacheslav Gennadyevich affirmed that the visit of the Dien Bien provincial leader in November 2024 was of great significance as Saint Petersburg city was twinned with Dien Bien province. He hoped that the cooperative relationship between the two sides would develop deeply and sustainably.

At the reception, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong gave an overview of the province's geographical location, potential, and strengths in developing agricultural, forestry, tourism, and renewable energy production. Providing further information to the delegation, the Provincial Party Secretary said: Currently, Dien Bien province is organizing Russian language classes for 40 ethnic minority students to select students to participate in the Summer Exchange Camp in Saint Petersburg city.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong presented Mr. Kalganov Vyacheslav Gennadievic with a Mong flute.

He hoped that in the coming time, Dien Bien province would welcome domestic and foreign investors, especially investors from Saint Petersburg city, to survey and implement cooperation and investment activities in Dien Bien province, contributing to concretizing the contents of the agreement signed between the two localities.

On this occasion, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong invited Mr. Kalganov Vyacheslav Gennadievic and the delegation to attend the 2025 Ban Flower Festival and the 8th Dien Bien Province Ethnic Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival./.
