Responding to the "Ao Dai Week" in 2025 (from March 1 to 8, 2025) to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2025) and the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has promoted propaganda, mobilization, and encouragement for cadres, members, women, female civil servants, public employees, teachers, female youth... to wear Ao Dai during working days in accordance with the conditions and characteristics of the profession, ensuring convenience and labor safety. In particular, wearing Ao Dai on March 8 aims to show off the beauty of Ao Dai at work and in the living place, contributing to enhancing the elegant and gentle beauty of Vietnamese women.

Responding to the "Ao Dai Week" in 2025, along with propaganda and mobilization work, many association bases have built and maintained the "Women's Ao Dai Wardrobe" model with hundreds of Ao Dai sets contributed and supported by officials, members and benefactors. From the "Women's Ao Dai Wardrobe" model, rural women's association members can borrow costumes for free and freely choose Ao Dai sets that suit their preferences and body shape to wear. Ms. Bui Thi Xuan, Phuong Nam commune (Hung Yen city) shared: Due to difficult family circumstances, I cannot afford to have new Ao Dai made. Every time I go to a women's association meeting or attend a wedding, I see women wearing beautiful Ao Dai, and I also wish I had one. The "Women's Ao Dai Wardrobe" model is very practical, I and many women are very excited to choose a beautiful Ao Dai that suits our body shape and age to wear. I find “Ao Dai Week” a meaningful activity that gives every woman the opportunity to wear traditional Ao Dai with national pride.

For Ms. Bui Thi Dung, a teacher at Phu Cu High School (Phu Cu), the ao dai is worn by her and many female colleagues when the school organizes collective activities such as: International Women's Day March 8; Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20; Vietnamese Women's Day October 20... Ms. Dung said: For me, wearing the traditional ao dai is a joy and happiness. The flowing ao dai adds to the elegant beauty like the virtues of being honest, virtuous, eloquent, and virtuous in modern times of women. Wearing ao dai at the office during "Ao dai Week" shows the elegant and gentle beauty of women in the workforce.

Not only is it the traditional costume of the nation, the ao dai is also a special image in cultural diplomacy, connecting Vietnam with friends around the world. Ms. Nguyen Thi Vuong, Le Xa commune (Tien Lu) who is living and working in the Russian Federation confided: When living far from home, the ao dai is not only a costume but also has a sacred meaning, a source of pride. The ao dai "awakens" memories of the homeland. No matter where I live and work, I am always proud to be Vietnamese, proud of the long-standing cultural tradition. Therefore, when abroad, I always wear the traditional ao dai on important occasions so that when international friends see it, they can see a cultural beauty, a Vietnamese soul always looking towards the homeland. Not only me but the Vietnamese community abroad often chooses the ao dai on important occasions as an affirmation of identity, affirming the origin of the nation.

Over time, today, Ao Dai is no longer the traditional Ao Dai with short skirts and high collars, but has been modernized with many colors and modern designs to help the wearer become more confident but still maintain the modesty, femininity and gentleness. Perhaps that is why Ao Dai is chosen as a uniform by many agencies and units. Many tourists have chosen Ao Dai as a unique souvenir of the image of the country and people of Vietnam. Proud of the beauty and cultural value of Ao Dai, Vietnamese women in general and Hung Yen women in particular have been preserving, promoting and honoring the beauty of traditional Ao Dai in many important events of the family, clan, community or in major national holidays... Thereby, further enhancing the elegant and graceful beauty of Vietnamese women, leaving good impressions on people in the country and international friends.
