The health sector is increasingly improving the quality of health care for the people.
The whole industry currently has 31 focal points of medical agencies and units, including:
3 provincial state management agencies and 27 public service units.
Of which, the provincial level has 10 public service units, including 5 hospitals and 5 centers.
The district level has 9 general hospitals, 9 medical centers and 18 regional polyclinics under the district general hospital.
At the commune level, there are 151 commune, ward and town health stations directly under the district health center.
In addition, the province currently has 19 private medical facilities.
Regarding human resources, the province currently has 5,443 medical staff, reaching a rate of 14.5 doctors/10,000 people; the total number of inpatient beds is 3,655, reaching a rate of 45.7 beds/10,000 people, higher than the national average.
In the 2020-2025 period, the province has allocated resources of over VND 1,900 billion to invest in building facilities; VND 856 billion to purchase medical equipment. Currently, provincial hospitals have deployed 70%-90% of the technical list according to the level. District hospitals have performed 964 cross-level techniques. In particular, the sector is currently completing procedures to deploy new technical services such as: organ transplantation; closed cancer radiotherapy, artificial insemination... to maximally meet the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment of people in and outside the province.
