On the morning of March 20, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online about the announcement of the results of the 9th grade excellent student exam for the 2024-2025 school year, Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that the work of marking the city-level 9th ​​grade excellent student exam for the 2024-2025 school year has basically been completed.

The department is expected to announce the results in the last week of March 2025, specifically between March 25 and 28.

"The announcement of the results of the 9th grade excellent student exam this year will be the same as previous years. That is, candidates will see their exam scores on the website of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (enter the registration number to see the score). In addition, the department will also transfer the exam score file along with the list of first, second, and third prize winners to the district education departments so that the units can provide it to their students," said Mr. Quoc.

The city-level excellent student exam for the 2024-2025 school year in Ho Chi Minh City took place on March 14, with 3,553 9th grade students participating.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, this year’s 9th grade excellent student exam has many new points compared to the previous school year. This is the first year students take the exam according to the new program (2018 general education program).

Therefore, the exam questions are designed to assess thinking ability and the application of learned knowledge to solve practical problems.

This year is also the first year that there are new subjects in the exam: natural science, history and geography.

Candidates for the 9th grade excellent student exam are students studying in grade 9 at secondary schools in the 2024-2025 school year in Ho Chi Minh City; with good or better academic and training results in the first semester; and are members of the excellent student teams of participating units.

First prize winner of 9th grade excellent student contest is awarded 10 million VND

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the department will consider the awards for this year's city-level 9th ​​grade excellent student competition as follows:

Only individual prizes (first, second, third) are awarded for each subject; The percentage of students winning prizes is not more than 60% of the total number of students taking the exam (in which the number of students winning first prizes is not more than 5% of the total number of students winning prizes); The condition for winning a prize is that the candidate's exam must achieve 10/20 points or more.

Students who win first prize at the city-level 9th ​​grade excellent student competition will be rewarded according to the resolution of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, specifically 10 million VND/student.
