Mr. Nguyen Tan Minh - Acting Head of the Department of Culture - Science and Information of Bao Lam district, informed: Bao Lam has just had 2 units recognized by the competent authority of Lam Dong province as agricultural tourism destinations, namely Tam Chau Farm and Olala Glamping.
Bao Lam still has a lot of room to develop various types of tourism. |
In practice, over the past time, the National Target Program on New Rural Development in Bao Lam has significantly improved rural tourism infrastructure, making it increasingly convenient to access and enjoy tourism values here. In addition, the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program has also increased opportunities for localities to develop agro-tourism, linking farm experiences with on-site agricultural product consumption. Realizing the dual economic potential of combining agricultural production with tourism activities, a number of businesses and business households in Bao Lam district have proactively grasped market trends, as well as followed the direction of Lam Dong province to invest in developing agro-tourism, enriching tourism products. Tam Chau Farm (Village 4, Loc Tan Commune) and Olala Glamping (Village 2, Loc Quang Commune) are two pioneers in building a tourism model associated with agricultural production in Bao Lam.
According to Mr. Dang Kim Khanh - representative of Olala Glamping, the natural ecosystem and unique agriculture are the tourism resources of Olala Glamping. In addition to camping, visitors can also experience the actual work of growing vegetables, harvesting durian and coffee, learning about the green circular agricultural production process... Of course, visitors will have other options such as: enjoying local specialties (coffee, durian...), admiring the natural scenery (mountains, lakes, tea gardens...), experiencing the life of farmers... Tam Chau Farm was formed from the investment process of Tam Chau Tea Farm Project with a total area of 65 hectares. Of which, 64 hectares are used to grow high-quality Oolong tea, 1 hectare is used to build infrastructure works. Tam Chau Farm is an ideal destination for learning about Oolong tea trees and learning about the tea processing process. Here, visitors can also experience the coffee processing process, participate in the Matcha tea production process - produced according to Japanese standards. A representative of Tam Chau Farm said that this is the most advanced and unique process that the unit currently possesses. At Tam Chau Farm, there is also a tea tasting area, an eco-tourism service area...
Although it has just been recognized by the Lam Dong provincial authority as an agricultural tourism destination, Tam Chau Farm and Olala Glamping are opening a new direction in Bao Lam - a locality with a lot of room to develop agricultural tourism. This is a type of tourism that involves experiencing production, enjoying agricultural products, admiring natural landscapes, exchanging knowledge... Through the above activities, trade is promoted, contributing to the consumption of local agricultural products, increasing income for organizations and individuals. In addition, through agricultural tourism, indigenous cultural values are gradually promoted. This is also a product of agricultural tourism that brings visitors many new experiences.
