On the evening of March 22, Mr. Tran Quoc Viet, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Historical Archives Center (under the Department of Home Affairs), said that the Director of the Department of Home Affairs had agreed to let Ms. Phan To Em (40 years old) resign from her position as Deputy Director of this center.
Previously, on February 18, Ms. Phan To Em submitted a resignation letter. On March 20, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Sang, Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Ca Mau province, signed a decision to dismiss Ms. Phan To Em from her position. This decision was implemented on March 21.
"Ms. Phan To Em submitted a resignation letter from the position of Deputy Director of the Ca Mau Province Historical Archives Center because she felt her capacity was limited and the Director of the Department of Internal Affairs agreed to let her resign from her position as she wished," Mr. Viet told Thanh Nien reporter. At the same time, Mr. Viet affirmed that Ms. To Em did not submit a resignation letter as reported by public opinion.
Ms. Phan To Em has a university degree in archiving and office management. In 2012, Ms. To Em held the position of Head of the Collection and Editing Department of the Ca Mau Provincial Historical Archives Center. In 2015, she was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of this center.
