Some export products exceeded the set plan targets, including: tea products of all kinds are estimated to achieve more than 21.4 million USD, exceeding 14.6 million USD compared to the plan; plywood reached 11.2 million USD, exceeding 4.9 million USD compared to the plan; PP canvas reached 7.6 million USD, exceeding the plan by 4.3 million USD; headphones reached 9.8 million USD, exceeding the plan by 4 million USD... Despite difficulties due to the impact of the global economic recession and the complicated political situation in countries around the world, tea exporting enterprises have still created stability, developed production and continued to expand export markets. In particular, Song Lo Tea Joint Stock Company is considered the "leading flag" with impressive export turnover. In 2024, the company exported more than 4,700 tons of green tea and black tea of ​​all kinds. The export value is estimated at nearly 8 million USD, exceeding the plan by 70%. Mr. Ngo Duc Tu, Director of Song Lo Tea Joint Stock Company (Tuyen Quang City) said: To achieve such results, the company maintains traditional old customers such as Middle Eastern countries, India, Pakistan and Russia, the Netherlands, and at the same time seeks new markets in ASEAN countries and Taiwan. Currently, the company has been granted a growing area code, which makes it easier and more convenient to promote exports to new markets. At the same time, the company is also actively investing in improving production equipment, designs and product quality. This is also a condition and premise for the company to continue to promote production and business, and expects to achieve even higher business efficiency in 2025.

Efforts of all levels and sectors

According to the assessment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the province's export turnover of 170 million USD in 2024 compared to many other localities is still very "modest". However, in the general difficult conditions of the economy, the economic scale of the locality as well as businesses in the area, that result is a great effort of all levels, sectors, and the participation of the political system in the province. Moreover, in addition to industries that help create many jobs for workers such as garments and footwear, the province also focuses on traditional export industries that bring high added value, are associated with raw material areas, and create jobs and stable income for workers, especially those in rural areas, such as handicrafts, processed agricultural products and food for export. Along with supporting vocational training and investing in infrastructure construction, the province is focusing on building brands for some key export products to increase competitiveness.

Mr. Khong Manh Cuong, Head of Tuyen Quang Customs Branch, said: The slow recovery of the world economy, complicated trade disputes between major economies; high prices of fuel and input materials, difficulties in finding orders... have significantly affected the production and business activities of enterprises in Tuyen Quang province. However, the increase in some export items has contributed to increasing the State budget revenue. It is estimated that by December 31, the cumulative tax revenue from the beginning of the year reached about 48 billion VND. To achieve this result, Tuyen Quang Customs Branch has focused on reforming administrative procedures, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to declare and import and export goods. Notably, the unit has effectively applied information technology in the declaration process, modernizing the customs sector. All data of enterprises is transmitted over the network to the branch, then customs officers directly control, provide additional instructions and immediately notify enterprises to edit.

To promote production and export of goods in the area, in the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to review and grasp the difficulties and problems of enterprises to propose and recommend the Provincial People's Committee, ministries and branches to take timely measures to resolve them. The Department promptly informs enterprises of new mechanisms and policies; proactively guides and supports enterprises to directly contact competent State agencies to promptly resolve issues related to production, business, investment and labor resources. Strengthen support for enterprises to participate in domestic trade promotion programs and foreign export promotion programs to help enterprises find and expand product consumption markets...
