(Baoquangngai.vn) - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien requested that the industry and trade sector needs to change its approach in performing its tasks, proactively advise the province to deploy solutions to develop industry, trade, and services, contributing to the province's achievement of the growth target of 8.5% in 2025.

On the afternoon of March 18, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien worked with the Department of Industry and Trade on the results of the implementation of tasks in the first quarter and the deployment of key tasks in 2025. Attending the meeting were leaders of relevant departments and branches, Dung Quat Economic Zone Management Board and provincial industrial parks; leaders of some localities, representatives of some enterprises in the area.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Vo Van Ran reported that the implementation results of the first quarter of 2025 tasks were all completed on schedule. Market management, electricity and gasoline supply were stable, fully meeting the needs of people and businesses in the area. Timely and quality advice was provided to the Provincial People's Committee to support industry and trade projects, large-scale projects with spillover effects, creating momentum for the province's economic and social development.

The implementation of the assigned targets according to the province's growth scenario in the first quarter of 2025 increased compared to the same period in 2024. In the remaining 9 months of 2025, the industry and trade sector will continue to stabilize its apparatus and operate more effectively in performing professional tasks. The province needs to pay attention to removing obstacles to industrial, energy and trade projects that have been and are being implemented in the area, so that investors can soon put the projects into operation.

At the meeting, representatives of enterprises proposed that the Provincial People's Committee pay attention to directing the resolution of land-related problems, clearing projects, especially projects investing in power grid infrastructure, hydropower, and trade, creating conditions for investors to speed up progress. Regarding investor support, representatives of the Dung Quat Economic Zone Management Board and the provincial industrial parks proposed that the Provincial People's Committee should promptly resolve the problems of supplying electricity, water, and fuel for factories in the economic zones and industrial parks to operate stably.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien affirmed that the role of the industry and trade sector is very important in achieving the province's growth target of 8.5% in 2025. The entire sector must be more proactive, creative, and determined in carrying out the assigned tasks. Clearly analyze opportunities, advise the province on solutions to remove bottlenecks, turn difficulties and challenges into development opportunities. Focus on advising the province on handling project problems, especially hydropower projects.

Quang Ngai still has a lot of room for development, especially in the field of industry and trade. The problem is that the industry and trade sector must advise the province to develop short-term and long-term scenarios; solutions to exploit potentials and advantages, especially exploiting opportunities well, welcoming the investment wave after implementing approved plans.
