The total annual revenue of the construction materials industry, including construction steel, is estimated at about 50 billion USD, accounting for nearly 12% of the national GDP. The trend of developing a circular economy and a green economy will achieve both goals, responding to resource depletion and environmental pollution.

At the low level, circular economy focuses on the production processes of businesses by encouraging and requiring the adoption of cleaner production methods and ecological design.

At a high level, all stages of the manufacturing process are designed to be zero waste. Waste is minimized, reused and recycled.
