More than 2,385 billion VND invested in Long Son My Xuan general port project

The area of ​​Long Son My Xuan general port project is about 41.65 hectares.

The Project Investor is Long Son Company Limited.

The project objective is to invest in the construction of Long Son My Xuan General Port at Thi Vai Port area, My Xuan Ward, Phu My Town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province to gradually complete the Thi Vai Port area according to the approved planning; invest in the construction of a general port to serve economic activities, industrial parks in the province and neighboring areas; meet the demand for construction materials in the area; maximize the advantages of natural conditions, geographical location, and traffic infrastructure projects being invested in the area to develop and promote the socio-economic development of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in particular and the Southern region in general.

Project scale: Investing in the construction of 1 wharf with a length of 270m to receive general cargo ships with a capacity of up to 30,000 DWT; 04 barge wharfs with a total length of 530m to receive ships and barges with a capacity of up to 7,500 DWT; warehouse system, cement grinding project (capacity of 2.3 million tons/year), port service infrastructure, water area in front of the wharf.

The investment capital for project implementation (registered by the Investor) is VND 2,385,810,000,000, of which: Owner's equity: VND 357,871,500,000, accounting for 15% of total investment capital; borrowed capital and other legally mobilized capital: VND 2,027,938,500,000, accounting for 85% of total investment capital.

The project area is about 41.65 hectares. The project location is in My Xuan Ward, Phu My Town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment (now the Ministry of Finance ) is responsible for the assigned contents of appraisal of project investment policies, proposed contents and implementation of state management in accordance with the provisions of the law on investment and relevant laws.

Ministries, branches and the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province are responsible for the content of investment policy appraisal according to their functions and tasks as prescribed by the Investment Law and relevant laws.

Check and supervise the implementation of the investor's project

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to allocate land according to the planning, land use plan and seaport development plan approved by competent state agencies to the Investor to implement the Project in accordance with the provisions of the law on land.

Allocate sufficient land for local replacement forestation, ensuring a balance between environmental protection and local socio-economic development; only change the purpose of forest use when meeting all the conditions stipulated in Article 19 of the Forestry Law; protect the area of ​​forest changed to a different purpose in accordance with the law; only allow impacts on the forest when the Project has completed all the procedures to be allowed to impact the forest. Inspect and supervise the Investor in the process of changing the purpose of forest use to another purpose to implement the Project, ensuring compliance with the law.

Inspect and supervise the implementation of the Project by the Investor in accordance with the provisions of law, including inspecting and supervising the capital mobilization of the Investor according to the progress of the Project implementation.

The Ministry of Construction urgently approves the detailed planning for the development of land and seaport areas of Ba Ria - Vung Tau in accordance with the law for the Investor to use as a basis for implementing the Project investment; coordinates and guides the Investor in reviewing and completing the Project dossier in the step of preparing the Project Feasibility Study Report.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for supporting and guiding the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in land allocation, land lease, permission to change land use purposes, change forest use purposes to other purposes to implement the Project to ensure compliance with the Planning, land use plan, forestry planning approved by competent authorities according to the provisions of the law on land and other relevant laws.

Support and guide Investors in completing documents and implementing procedures for environmental impact assessment of the Project in accordance with the provisions of the law on environmental protection; comply with regulations on water resource protection in accordance with the provisions of the law on water resources during the implementation of the Project.
