Tay ethnic cultural space in Thai Nguyen attracts nearly 10,000 tourists

“Youth with traditional culture” is the theme of the activity held from March 7 to 10 at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Hanoi). The activity attracted the participation of 11 localities including: Kon Tum, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, Soc Trang, Ha Giang, Son La, Hoa Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Gia Lai, Hanoi and Thai Nguyen. With more than 100 people of 16 ethnic groups: Nung, Tay, Dao, Mong, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Gia Rai, Co Tu, Raglai, E De, Khmer.

The Thai Nguyen delegation was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, including 30 artisans of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups. Here, the delegation organized activities to reenact excerpts of the peace-praying ritual of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups in Thai Nguyen province. The peace-praying ritual is intended to thank heaven and earth for giving the village, clan, family, and health at the beginning of the new year and to pray for a year of peace, warmth, and prosperity.

The exchange program “Spring day forever echoes Then” by artists performing folk songs and dances such as: Singing sli, singing luon, lute, singing Then with content praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, the innovative homeland of Thai Nguyen. Activities to display and introduce some cultural publications, traditional weaving, typical cuisine of the province. Tea culture space with the theme “Thai Nguyen - Convergence and radiance”.

Within the framework of the activity, the delegation organized an exhibition of 100 large-size photos on the conservation and promotion of cultural values, economic development achievements, and tourism development investment potential of the province; displayed and introduced cultural products, tea-drinking spaces, introduced local cuisine and games such as tossing con, swings, seesaws, etc., creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, building a beautiful image of Thai Nguyen land and people in the eyes of tourists.
