Announcing Decisions on organization and personnel work of Customs Branch Region XIV

On the morning of March 15, in Buon Ma Thuot city, the Customs Department held a conference to announce the Decisions on the organization and personnel of the Regional Customs Branch XIV - the new name after the merger of the Customs Departments of the provinces: Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Nong and Lam Dong.

Attending the Conference were comrades: Luu Manh Tuong, Deputy Director of the Customs Department, Pham Thi Xuyen - Deputy Head of the Organization Committee of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Organization Committee of the Customs Department, leaders of the Customs Branch of Region XIV;

At the conference, the Customs Department announced the Decision of the Minister of Finance on the regulations on functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Customs Department of Region XIV. Accordingly, after the arrangement, the Customs Department has 20 affiliated branches nationwide. Of which, the Customs Department of Region XIV has its headquarters located in Dak Lak.

Leaders of the Customs Department and the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee presented the appointment decision and flowers to congratulate 3 comrades holding the position of Deputy Head of the Customs Branch of Region XIV.

Region XIV Customs Branch has 7 departments and teams including: Office, Personnel Department, Information Technology Department, Risk Management Department, Customs Operations Department, Customs Control Team, Re-assembly Team and Post-clearance Inspection Team.

Comrade Pham Thi Xuyen - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee spoke at the conference.

The Customs at border gates/outside border gates under the Sub-Department includes 5 units: Bo Y International Customs in Kon Tum province, Le Thanh International Border Gate Customs - Gia Lai province, Buprang Border Gate Customs - Dak Nong province, Da Lat Customs - Lam Dong province and Buon Ma Thuot Customs - Dak Lak province.

The conference also announced the decision of the Director of the Customs Department on the appointment and transfer of Deputy Directors of the Customs Branch of Region XIV. Accordingly, the transfer and temporary appointment of 3 comrades to the position of Deputy Directors of the Customs Branch of Region XIV, the appointment period is from March 15, 2025.

Previously, the Customs Department announced the decision to appoint comrade Do Viet Toan, Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Provincial Customs Department, to hold the position of Director of the Regional Customs Branch XIV.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Luu Manh Tuong, Deputy Director of the Customs Department, requested the leadership of the Regional Customs Branch XIV to promote its capacity, management and operation, closely follow and concretize the contents and key work programs of the Customs Department, the Ministry of Finance as well as programs and plans for local economic and social development to successfully complete assigned political tasks.

The merged units must promptly complete and stabilize the organization and human resources, issue working regulations, and assign tasks to the leadership of the Department so that they can start operating immediately; not to interrupt work, not to leave areas or fields vacant; not to affect the activities of businesses and people.

Comrade Do Viet Toan, Head of the Regional Customs Branch XIV also requested the units to urgently do a good job of Customs management, ensure strict management of the area, reform and simplify administrative procedures in the Customs sector towards modernity, openness and transparency... to contribute to improving the business environment, enhancing national competitiveness, contributing to the cause of socio-economic development in the 05 Central Highlands provinces;

The units under the Sub-Department continue to coordinate with the Departments and branches in the localities to advise the People's Committees of the provinces to effectively perform the state management of customs, deploy many good, creative and suitable solutions to effectively implement the task of budget collection, striving to complete the task of state budget collection in 2025 and the following years in each management area.

Strengthening discipline and administrative discipline in public service activities, improving the capacity and professional skills of customs officers; Determined to build the Customs force of Region XIV into a professional and modern force, meeting the requirements of Customs modernization reform.
