Farmers sell 35-45 goby fish/kg to traders and seafood purchasing warehouses for 200,000-230,000 VND/kg, and if sold retail at the market, it can be up to more than 300,000 VND/kg.

The price of goby fish has increased due to high demand while supply is limited because there are not many fish ready to harvest, as well as because people have recently reduced their farming area.

According to farmers, goby fish can be sold after being raised for about 5-6 months. However, currently, the development of goby fish farming is somewhat difficult due to the high price of fingerlings, difficulty in finding and purchasing, and the high loss rate during the farming process, leading to high costs.

Goby fish is being retailed at many markets at 300,000-320,000 VND/kg.

The price of black apple snails in many localities in the Mekong Delta has increased by at least 5,000 VND/kg compared to about a month ago. The price of large black apple snails (15-20 snails/kg) is being sold by farmers to traders and snail purchasing warehouses at 50,000 VND/kg. Black apple snails of 30-60 snails/kg are priced at about 25,000-45,000 VND/kg.

Snail prices have increased due to reduced supply and high demand for black apple snails in the Mekong Delta and many other localities in the country. At this time, snails sold on the market are mainly farmed snails, the amount of snails caught in the wild is not much because it is the peak of the dry season.

Meanwhile, the price of pangasius meat in many localities in the Mekong Delta has decreased by 1,200-2,000 VND/kg compared to more than a month ago.

The price of raw pangasius for export is being sold by farmers in many places to businesses at 26,800-27,500 VND/kg, while previously it was 28,000-29,500 VND/kg. The price of yellow fat pangasius sold by farmers to traders is 18,000-20,000 VND/kg.

The price has decreased due to abundant supply and export output of pangasius, as well as slow domestic consumption, so traders and businesses have reduced their purchasing prices. Following the downward trend of pangasius meat, the price of pangasius fingerlings in many places has dropped sharply from 4,000-6,000 VND/kg compared to before, down to 28,000-32,000 VND/kg.
