On the morning of March 12, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung (Director of Hanoi City Police) and commanders of several functional departments visited and encouraged Major Nguyen Ngoc Anh (officer of working group 141).
Major Anh was injured while on duty in Hai Ba Trung district.
Accordingly, at about 1:15 a.m. on March 8, working group Y13B-141H was on duty to control Minh Khai street (Vinh Tuy ward, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi).
During the course of their duties, the police discovered a man driving a motorbike with license plate 29G1-906.xx carrying a woman, not wearing a helmet. Major Nguyen Ngoc Anh signaled the man to stop.
However, the male driver did not stop the car, but crashed straight into Major Nguyen Ngoc Anh. The collision caused him to fall and injure himself, requiring him to be taken to the Viet Duc Hospital for emergency treatment.
The police officer was diagnosed with subarachnoid hemorrhage in the cerebral cortex and hematoma in the soft tissue of his right eye. The case was then handed over to Vinh Tuy Ward Police for handling according to regulations.
At the hospital, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung praised the sense of responsibility and awarded a certificate of merit to Major Nguyen Ngoc Anh. He also directed the relevant units to promptly investigate and strictly handle cases of law violations.
