Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Vu Hong Quang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department, said: In recent times, the situation of human trafficking in the province in particular and globally in general has continued to develop complicatedly. In the first 6 months of 2023, the Provincial Police Department presided over the detection and arrest of 3 cases/6 suspects for human trafficking. Thereby, demonstrating the efforts and determination of the province, contributing significantly to the fight against human trafficking of the whole society, gradually preventing and pushing human trafficking crimes out of social life, bringing a peaceful and happy life to the people.
In the coming time, the provincial police force needs to proactively detect and prevent activities related to human trafficking crimes, especially in border areas. Build a strategy to prevent and combat human trafficking, improve the effectiveness of investigation, prosecution and trial of cases; closely coordinate with agencies, departments, sectors, unions, and international organizations to prevent, stop, and investigate human trafficking rings, and promptly rescue victims...
At the end of the ceremony, more than 200 delegates marched, propagandized, and encouraged around the city center. The ceremony aimed to create a fundamental change in awareness and action in the whole society on preventing and combating human trafficking, contributing to reducing risks and crimes related to human trafficking and supporting victims of trafficking.
