Pac Bo Origin Festival 2025

On February 28, at Pac Bo Special National Relic Site, Ha Quang District People's Committee coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the Pac Bo Origin Festival 2025.

Attending the event were comrades: Trieu Dinh Le, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ha Nhat Le, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Sam Viet An, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of departments, branches, Ha Quang district and a large number of people and tourists.

This year's festival takes place over 2 days (from February 27 to 28) and includes 2 parts: the ceremony with activities: Pac Bo headwater water collection ceremony and water procession; incense offering and water offering ceremony at President Ho Chi Minh Temple.

The custom of fetching water at the beginning of the year is a cultural beauty of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups in the province. People believe that the pure, clean stream water will bring luck and fortune to the family, praying for favorable weather, favorable business and good luck. This is a ritual that demonstrates the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source" of the people, and is one of the indigenous cultural tourism products with strong local identity.

The festival includes activities: Folk singing contest - ethnic costume performance with the theme "Ha Quang in me"; 21 booths from communes and towns in the area, displaying tourism and cultural products with artifacts, images, musical instruments, traditional costumes of ethnic groups in Ha Quang district , local specialties and OCOP products, regional specialties; photo exhibition "Cao Bang Mountains and Rivers", thematic exhibition "Border Campaign 1950 - A time of fire and flowers"; competitions in ethnic sports: weeding, crossbow shooting, stilt walking and throwing shuttlecocks; Spring Cow Competition.

The "Returning to Pac Bo's Source" Festival is an annual activity, aiming to build and promote the image of Ha Quang - an impressive destination with strong local cultural characteristics associated with educating revolutionary historical traditions for generations towards historical roots, raising awareness of political ideology, patriotism and national pride, remembering the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnamese revolutionaries. At the same time, introducing and promoting the image of destinations associated with the heritage of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark; preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups associated with tourism development of Ha Quang district in particular, Cao Bang mountainous region in general.
