The model of combining strawberry growing with experiential tourism is gradually becoming a potential trend, bringing practical economic efficiency to the people, while attracting tourists to visit and enjoy, contributing to promoting the image of local tourism.

Children love picking strawberries in the garden.

In the context of increasingly popular experiential tourism, the strawberry growing model combined with experiential tourism has emerged as a bright spot, bringing unique and attractive experiences to visitors. Strawberry season in Cao Bang usually starts from December to April of the following year, however, to have the most delicious strawberries, visitors should come around February to March. During this time, the strawberries ripen in the fields, bringing attractive colors and aromas. Strawberry gardens are mainly planned according to the ecological farm model, both meeting the needs of clean green farming and being an ideal tourist destination.

When participating in strawberry picking activities, visitors can choose strawberries themselves in the garden, which will certainly be fresher and of better quality than buying them at the market or supermarket. After picking, ripe red strawberries can be enjoyed on the spot or brought home as gifts. Visitors can also freely create beautiful photos amidst the lush natural scenery. In addition, some gardens also serve strawberry dishes such as smoothies, strawberry jam, strawberry ice cream, ... other convenient services such as resting areas, miniature landscapes or shops selling local specialties.

Tourists coming to the locality can also visit strawberry gardens to experience growing and harvesting strawberries. In the city, visitors can visit Truong An farm strawberry garden (Hung Dao commune), Nha Khoai strawberry garden (Ngoc Xuan ward)... Or on the way to visit tourist destinations, the strawberry garden of Mr. Nong Van Tan (Trung Khanh); Quang Uyen Farm (Quang Uyen); other strawberry gardens in districts such as Ha Quang, Tra Linh,... can be easily found, serving visitors. The gardens will mainly grow Japanese Hana strawberry because the fruit is hard, juicy and sweet, suitable for local soil conditions.

The strawberry picking experience model at Doai Duong strawberry garden (Chongqing) was shared and learned by the youth group.

Busy harvesting strawberries, Mr. Nong Van Tau, owner of a strawberry garden in Doai Duong commune (Trung Khanh) shared: "My strawberry garden has an area of 8,000m2 and is in the red ripening season, so it attracts a lot of people to visit, experience and buy strawberries at the farm. On average, the farm welcomes over 10 visitors a day. On weekends, it will be more crowded, mainly families and children, tourists also depending on the time. In addition, customers who want to enjoy strawberries but do not have time to come, the garden also picks and boxes the fruit to send."

Currently, when visiting the garden, visitors are exempted from entrance fees, and the price of strawberries picked at the garden ranges from 250,000 - 300,000 VND/kg, depending on the time and size of the fruit. The strawberry growing model combined with experiential tourism has brought high economic efficiency to farmers. Thanks to tourism, strawberry products are consumed at higher prices than other agricultural products, helping to increase income and improve life. This model also contributes to creating jobs for local people, promoting the socio-economic development of the region.

Ms. Thuy Dung (City) excitedly shared: This is the first time I and my children have experienced strawberry picking directly, it feels very exciting. Before, if you wanted to pick strawberries, you had to go to Da Lat or Moc Chau. But now there are many local gardens, my family and I can often visit on weekends to choose delicious and safe strawberries.

Strawberry picking combined with tourism is an interesting experience, bringing moments of relaxation, close to nature. This is also a new direction with great potential for tourism, contributing to increasing the value of local agricultural products. Hopefully, in the future, the model will be increasingly replicated and developed sustainably, becoming an attractive destination for tourists when coming here.
