Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, before entering the meeting room, General Secretary To Lam and Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, Secretary General of the Singapore People's Action Party Lawrence Wong introduced the members of the delegations of the two countries.
According to the program, the two leaders led high-ranking delegations from the two countries to hold talks; witness the exchange of cooperation documents; speak to the press; and hold an official reception.

This is the first visit of General Secretary To Lam to Singapore as General Secretary, marking a new step forward in the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Singapore; demonstrating the importance of promoting relations with Singapore to a new height, in line with Vietnam's foreign policy and guidelines.
The visit also contributes to further deepening the relationship between the two parties, creating a solid political foundation for bilateral relations; promoting the potential for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of green economy, digital economy, science, technology and innovation, clean energy, financial centers, etc.
Singapore is one of the first ASEAN countries with which Vietnam established diplomatic relations. Over the years, the Vietnam-Singapore relationship has become increasingly deep and effective in all areas.
