On the morning of June 30, the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Bao Thang District unexpectedly awarded collectives and individuals of officers and soldiers of Bao Thang District Police for their outstanding achievements in fighting and arresting the gold shop robber in residential group No. 1, Tang Loong town, Bao Thang district.
Previously, at 12:16 p.m. on June 29, a robbery occurred at Tuyen Theu gold shop in residential group 1, Tang Loong town, Bao Thang district. The robber rode a black motorbike without a license plate, wore gloves, a mask and a helmet covering his face, and carried a knife and a hammer to break the glass cabinet of the gold shop to rob the property. At 7:20 p.m. on the same day, Bao Thang district police coordinated with the Criminal Police Department, Lao Cai provincial police to successfully arrest the robber at the gold shop in residential group 1, Tang Loong town, Bao Thang district after nearly 7 hours of committing the crime.
On behalf of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Bao Thang District, Comrade Tran Minh Sang, Secretary of the District Party Committee, commended and congratulated the outstanding achievements and awarded 20 million VND to Bao Thang District Police, and expressed his belief that Bao Thang District Police will continue to promote their achievements, overcome difficulties to excellently complete all assigned tasks, firmly ensure political security, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality.
