This morning, Ha Tinh Museum opened the thematic exhibition "Bai Coi - Meeting place of cultures", the opening ceremony was attended by comrade Duong Tat Thang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The ceremony attracted researchers and students to attend.
Bai Coi archaeological site is located in Xuan Vien commune, Nghi Xuan district, discovered in 1974. Up to now, Bai Coi has undergone many research and excavations. Research results show that Bai Coi is a special archaeological site, bearing the characteristics of the two cultures Dong Son and Sa Huynh. This is very important in the study of the Prehistoric period in Vietnam, from more than two thousand years ago. The site was recognized as a national relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2014.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.
The exhibition "Bai Coi - A meeting place of cultures" introduces to Ha Tinh people and the general public more than 100 artifacts made of materials such as stone, pottery, metal, glass, etc. The highlight is the cluster of jar tombs and earthen tombs reflecting the rich material and spiritual life and unique religious customs of ancient residents. The exhibition space is creatively designed, harmoniously combining the introduction of original artifacts, documentary images and scientific documents. In particular, focusing on 3 main themes: "Bai Coi - Journey of discovery", "Bai Coi - A meeting place of cultures" and "International cooperation between the Vietnam National Museum of History, Ha Tinh Museum and the National Museum of Korea".
The thematic exhibition “Bai Coi - a meeting place of cultures” at Ha Tinh Museum will take place from March 15 to September 10, 2025.
