Development efforts
In the period of 2018 - 2024, Dai Loc district has 30 products recognized as OCOP, including 3 4-star products: Dai Loc rice paper (Ai Nghia Agricultural Cooperative); Soul of the Country jewelry set of Song Tin Handicraft Cooperative; Hong Van lemon juice (Hong Van Agricultural Development Cooperative).
In 2024 and 2025, the locality will continue to have a number of new products with local characteristics, recognized as meeting OCOP standards with a relatively stable consumption market.
Mr. Tran Viet Phuong - Head of the District's Department of Agriculture and Environment shared that up to now, Dai Loc has mobilized tens of billions of VND in resources to implement the OCOP program.
In the period of 2018 - 2021, the locality mobilized a total of more than 22 billion VND. In 2024, Dai Loc District People's Committee allocated the provincial budget to support the implementation of the OCOP Program in the district with nearly 470 million VND; in 2025, it proposed the province to approve support for the program.

According to Mr. Phuong, in the period of 2024 - 2025, the district's policy is to focus on developing products towards improving quality and increasing value.
Consolidate and develop existing products, develop new strong products and focus on processing and deep processing of products according to the local key value chain, associated with planning and development of raw material areas... In 2025, Dai Loc strives to have at least 3 new products registered to participate in OCOP with a 3-star rating or higher; strives to have 1 4-star product
Promoting unique strengths
Mr. Truong Anh Thinh (residing in Dai Tan commune - owner of the product "Dai Tan fine art stone mortar and pestle set" which has just been recognized as a 3-star OCOP, shared: The product is made from natural sandstone, rich in aesthetics, durable over time, and is favored by customers.
Mr. Thinh also made efforts to open a factory of more than 500m2 , invested in some types of machinery and equipment for production, contributing to creating jobs for many workers.
“Our products are made from natural stone, safe for health, do not create sawdust during use; easy to clean, no mold, no product odor; diverse designs and sizes according to customer requirements” - Mr. Thinh said.
“Dai Loc Crispy Rice” is also one of the OCOP products recognized in 2024.
Ms. Le Thi Tra (Dai Hiep Commune), Director of Vu Gia Cooperative, shared that the products have now met HACCP standards and the Cooperative continues to improve and innovate quality, design, and packaging to increase competitiveness. The Cooperative continues to invest in machinery and equipment to improve product quality and increase competitiveness in the market.

“Currently, the number of wholesale and retail orders has increased over time. The cooperative is promoting the development of the retail system in Dai Loc district and neighboring areas,” Ms. Tra shared.
“Bach Le Chili Powder” is also a 3-star OCOP product that has left many impressions of Dai Loc. The product is processed cleanly, using local materials, contributing to solving jobs for dozens of workers. The chili growing area is arranged in Phu Nghia village, Dai An commune, covering dozens of hectares.
“Bach Le Chili Powder” has 2 product lines: ground chili with seeds and ground chili, carefully filtered, finely ground powder. This type of chili is ground more finely, spicier, has no impurities, ensuring food hygiene and safety.
The product is not only available in Dai Loc, Quang Nam, Da Nang but also in Ho Chi Minh City following the footsteps of Quang people far from home. Every year, the facility purchases 20 tons of fresh chili, of which about 10 tons are processed into OCOP products, the rest are sold dry. "Bach Le chili powder" has been present at fairs and exhibitions, highly appreciated by consumers, and has stable consumption.
Mr. Ho Ngoc Man - Vice Chairman of Dai Loc District People's Committee shared that in Dai Loc, many OCOP products have proactively built stable and quality raw material areas such as Dai Loc rice paper, Ai Nghia safe rice, Hong Van lemon juice, Dai Hong peanut oil, Dai Thang... By 2024, Dai Loc will have 30 OCOP products recognized. In the period of 2024 - 2025, a number of products will continue to be recognized and re-recognized.
“In the development orientation, the district prioritizes OCOP products with raw material areas in the district and province such as: Ai Nghia rice, Ai Nghia rice paper, Khe Hoa pineapple... or Hong Van lemon juice. In addition, there are projects to create jobs for local workers; link product chains, and guarantee consumption from production, processing and consumption. The district will also continue to support entities in building quality standards, designing packaging, labels, and building brands..." - Mr. Man said.
