On the morning of March 21, speaking with VietNamNet reporters , a representative of Thai Hoc bus company (Huong Son district, Ha Tinh) said that immediately after discovering the driver was driving and playing games on his phone, the company decided to suspend the driver PAĐ (from Son Tay commune, Huong Son district).

"We have suspended the male driver and are waiting for the police to handle the case according to regulations," said a representative of Thai Hoc bus company.

According to the bus company, driver PAĐ had only been working at the company for 2 months when the incident happened. Vehicle 38B – 012.14 had a dash cam installed, but because there were many vehicles moving at the same time and the driver left his phone in a hidden corner, the company could not observe everything.

Previously, a 2 minute 52 second clip appeared on social media, recording the scene of a bus driver driving while playing a game on his phone. The clip was posted by a passenger with the status line: "The journey home is nearly 400km, there was never a moment when I was not afraid. If I got off in the middle of the road, I couldn't catch a bus home."

After the clip was posted, public opinion was stirred up and outraged. Many people thought the driver disregarded the lives of passengers.

According to investigation, the above passenger bus has license plate 38B - 012.14, owned by Thai Hoc bus company (Hoang Nam Company, located in Huong Son district, Ha Tinh).

This bus company specializes in long-distance passenger transport on the route from Hanoi - Ha Tinh and vice versa.

The passenger who recorded the video is PVM (born in 1986, from Hai Phong City). Before that, Mr. M. went to visit his friend's hometown in Huong Son district. On March 17, he booked a ticket with Thai Hoc bus to travel to Hanoi. Bus 38B - 012.14 is a 22-room limousine, picked up in Huong Son, and traveled along National Highway 8 to Hanoi.

Confirming that he was the person who filmed the video, Mr. PVM informed that the video was filmed at various times on March 17. At the time the driver was playing games while driving, the bus was almost full of passengers.

“During the journey, the male driver played games at the same time. There was even a time when he shouted loudly when he won the game,” PVM shared.

Explaining why he knew the driver was playing games while driving but did not report the incident, Mr. M. said that there were two other people from the bus company in the car who also knew the driver was playing games while driving but no one reminded him. He was worried that if he reported it, the bus company would make things difficult for him, so he kept quiet and used his phone to record the incident.

The incident is being investigated and clarified by the police.
