(Dan Tri) - The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested the dissolution of the Ho Chi Minh City Education Trade Union.
On March 5, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor issued an official dispatch stating its opinion on the arrangement of industry trade unions and direct superior trade unions under the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.
Accordingly, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor agreed to dissolve industry unions, including the Ho Chi Minh City Education Union, the Textile and Garment Union, the unions of departments, blocks, corporations, companies that are directly superior to the grassroots level and the equivalent direct superior unions of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation.
At the same time, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to carry out procedures to dissolve the direct superior trade union at the grassroots level in accordance with the instructions of the Presidium of the General Confederation.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Education Trade Union also sent an official dispatch to the chairmen of grassroots trade unions of high schools, intermediate schools, colleges and units under the city's education trade union.
It requires stopping all revenues, expenditures, and payment of union dues and union funds to the city's education sector union.
Regarding union fee collection starting from January 1, the city's education union will temporarily stop distributing fees to grassroots unions.
Units urgently review and settle advances, receivables and payables at the unit to avoid backlog.
