In just a few days, the Central Highlands March festival season will officially begin with the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival. The festival organizers informed that they have prepared well for all aspects of the event and are ready to welcome a large number of people and tourists.

Mr. Tran Hong Tien, Director of Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, affirmed that the locality will ensure security, safety and peace of mind for all visitors to the Coffee Festival.

Mr. Tran Hong Tien informed that to enhance the experience and support tourists, Dak Lak province has issued 3,000 printed copies of the "Travel Itinerary" Handbook and an electronic version with QR code application printed on leaflets and electronic information pages promoting the festival.

Farmers and coffee beans are the main theme of the festival.

People and tourists can easily access digital technology applications to grasp information about the festival, schedule, location of activities, prominent attractions, dining and shopping addresses, support hotlines, etc.

The travel guide also includes official information about 34 tours that will take place at the festival and the addresses and public prices of 277 accommodation establishments in the province. Thus, visitors to the locality during the festival will have all the necessary information and data, and can proactively schedule their activities and experiences with their relatives and friends.

Mr. Tien emphasized that the ninth Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2025 is the event that kicks off the local tourism season, and also marks the changes in Dak Lak's cultural and tourism industry on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Buon Ma Thuot city, along with many major socio-political activities of the country.

Every March, many festivals and rituals of the indigenous people and ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands are also launched. Therefore, the Department of Culture and Tourism determined that the festival would need to be organized in the most thoughtful and safe manner.

Therefore, the locality pays great attention to the communication and promotion work and information about the festival, both in terms of visual promotion in the area, through press agencies, and implementing many activities on digital platforms to create a different and attractive image and impression for the community and tourists.

Providing full information to tourists, as well as building support channels to help tourists when problems occur, is a practical requirement for the Dak Lak tourism and culture industry.

Before, during and after the festival, if encountering any problems or difficulties that need help, people and tourists should immediately contact the hotline numbers announced by the Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (48 Nguyen Tat Thanh, Buon Ma Thuot), including 0985.859339 (Mr. Le Minh Hao, Chief Inspector), 0918.367867 (Mr. Nguyen Son Hung, Head of Tourism Management Department) and 0947.447061 (Ms. Le Thi Chung, Director of Tourism Promotion Center).

Full rooms and guaranteed accommodation rates

Mr. Nguyen Son Hung, Head of Tourism Management Department (Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) informed that up to now, the whole province has 277 tourist accommodation establishments, with more than 5,500 rooms, providing about 13,000 beds.

This number basically meets the accommodation needs of visitors attending the coffee festival like the previous 8 times.

However, to proactively welcome and ensure that the number of tourists can increase, the provincial tourism industry has asked local units to review homestays and rental apartments and take additional actual numbers to increase the number of convenient accommodations for tourists.

If the number of tourists increases dramatically in the coming days, the tourism and culture sector will immediately advise the festival organizing committee to arrange additional guest rooms and dormitories of universities, educational and sports facilities in the area...

According to Mr. Hung, this is being actively monitored and recorded daily by the Department to report to the Provincial People's Committee for the most optimal solutions.

At the same time, Dak Lak tourism industry also coordinates with the industry and trade sectors, police... to strengthen monitoring and inspection of accommodation establishments, areas, cultural and tourist destinations, to ensure the quality of services and events; promptly prevent the situation of soliciting, forcing prices, and raising prices for tourists.

Especially at destinations and tourist attractions, monitoring and supporting tourists to ensure safety and security are paid attention to. The province has directed functional forces to be on duty regularly, have plans for rescue, fire prevention, and carefully guide tourists in areas with difficult terrain, rivers, waterfalls, etc.

The industry and trade sector also has a specific plan to monitor food quality and safety throughout the area, ensuring that restaurants and eateries comply with hygiene and disease prevention for residents and tourists.

Even with the tens of thousands of free cups of coffee expected to be served to tourists during the festival, authorities also require brewing and processing establishments to comply with food safety and quality standards.

With such preparation spirit, according to Mr. Tran Hong Tien, the Dak Lak Department of Culture and Tourism is ready to welcome and serve all people and tourists coming to Buon Ma Thuot, coming to Dak Lak.

Mr. Tien emphasized that serving tourists well at the Coffee Festival is an opportunity to make a positive mark on local cultural and tourism activities, turning invitations into reality and turning Buon Ma Thuot, the coffee capital, into every destination in Dak Lak into a real, attractive, unique story, attracting more and more visitors from far away to this land.

“We would like to thank our friends and visitors who came to Dak Lak during this Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, and hope to receive more smiles, joy and trust from visitors. If there is anything unsatisfactory, we hope everyone will forgive us, and frankly give us feedback so that we can take note, and make additions and corrections, so that every step here will leave a mark of satisfaction,” said Mr. Tien.
