This is one of the meaningful and humane programs at the end of the lunar year for workers and people in difficult circumstances, organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with Vietnam Airlines.

So happy… I can't sleep

Eager, happy to the point of tears, worried to the point of losing sleep… because they can return home to visit their families are the feelings of many brothers and sisters who are supported with plane tickets to return home to celebrate Tet At Ty this time.

Joining the bustling crowd returning to their hometowns to celebrate Tet at Tan Son Nhat airport on January 25 (December 26), Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, 39 years old, from Hai Duong, a worker at Baria Serece Joint Stock Company (Ba Ria - Vung Tau), shared that when she heard the company's union department announce that she would be supported with Vietnam Airlines tickets to return home to celebrate Tet, she was so happy she wanted to cry and immediately called her parents to tell them the good news. "It's been 3 years since I've been home to visit my parents," Ms. Nga said.

According to Ms. Nga, due to difficult circumstances, she left her hometown to work in the South. Her parents are nearly 80 years old, have underlying diseases, and look forward to their children returning home every day. Her situation is quite difficult, her husband is a freelancer, she is the main breadwinner in the family, taking care of 3 young children, the oldest of whom has a tumor in the neck and often goes to the hospital... Therefore, returning home by plane during the peak Tet holiday is something she rarely dreams of.

Sharing the joy of celebrating Tet with his family after 4 years away from home, Mr. Nguyen Cong Binh, 38 years old, from Thanh Hoa, a worker at MJ Apparel Company Limited (Dong Nai), said that returning to his parents makes Tet feel so close.

This was also the happiest year when he was chosen as one of the people to receive free airfare back home.

"I've been looking forward to going home to chat with my parents and hold my grandparents' hands like when I was a child. When I heard that I could go home to celebrate Tet this time, I was very happy," said Mr. Binh.
