Also attending the event was Mr. Jeremy Segay - Audiovisual Attaché of the French Embassy, who was also a member of the advisory board of HIFF 2024 (Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival).
It is known that Flow can be shown in Vietnam partly thanks to the support of the French Institute in Vietnam as well as the French Consulate General in Vietnam.
Director Gints Zilbalodis shares about Flow's journey and sends a few words to the audience and independent filmmakers in Vietnam
Flow is the result of a co-production between filmmakers from France, Belgium and Latvia, with director Gints Zilbalodis at the centre.
Even though he couldn't be there, he still had a special message for animation lovers in Vietnam:
"Hello Vietnamese audience, for me Flow is a personal project, created with love and dedication from the whole team.
I'm so happy that Vietnamese audiences can experience Flow on the big screen - it's also the best way to enjoy this work.
This is a film that needs to be heard, seen and felt in its entirety.
I hope you will pay attention to every little detail in the background, which holds clues to the story of the people and the history of the world in the film.
I'm sorry I can't be in Vietnam for this launch because I'm in Los Angeles.

However, I hope to have the opportunity to visit Vietnam soon, a wonderful country that I am very much looking forward to exploring.
Thank you for watching Flow , and if you like the movie, please share it with your friends so that more people can experience it. Have a great time watching the movie!"
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Flow follows a grey cat as he journeys through a water-soaked world where civilizations have ceased to exist.
Flow 's story begins when a cat accidentally gets caught in a huge flood and has to find a way to survive. Accompanying him are four "crew" including: "Foreign Minister" capybara (water rat), labrador dog, lemur, and librarian bird.
Initially, cats are very independent and distrustful, but gradually they learn to cooperate with their companions to cope with harsh environments.
Throughout the journey, the cat gradually matures, learns to swim and trusts new friends.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Director of June Content Distribution Company Limited, who is responsible for distributing Flow in Vietnam, shared that the reason he and his crew chose an independent animated film from a little-known director to screen in Vietnam was because of the strong emotions the film brings.
"If a work can shake the world and our crew is so strong, I am sure that Vietnamese audiences will also share these feelings," Mr. Tuan added.
