(NLDO) - Kobe International University hopes to cooperate with Cuu Long University to implement scholarship programs and organize joint training.
In order to promote international cooperation and improve students' skills, on March 6, Cuu Long University had a meeting and worked with Kobe International University (Japan) on cooperation in the field of education and training.
Attending the meeting were Ms. Wakasugi Miho - Head of International Cooperation Department, Kobe International University and members of the working delegation.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung said that the school currently trains 32 undergraduate majors with 80 majors in 4 fields, including: Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, Engineering - Technology, Economics - Finance; training scale is about 28,000 students.
Among the training majors at Cuu Long University, the Health Sciences major is the strength of the school with a training scale of 8,500 students, reaching 30% of the school's student scale with 6 majors at university level: Medicine, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Imaging Technology.
For postgraduate training, the school offers 3 first-level specialized majors: Nursing, Medical Technology specializing in testing, Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy. The school wishes to connect and cooperate with Kobe International University in the field of education and training.
At the meeting, representatives of the two schools discussed the potential for future cooperation, including: Japanese Government Scholarship Program for Health Science students of Cuu Long University. Joint training program 1+3 or 2+2 for students of economics (Business Administration, Finance Marketing, Tourism, etc.). Cultural exchange program, etc.

According to Ms. Wakasugi Miho, Kobe International University was founded in 1968, is a school with a long history, a team of highly qualified lecturers, and modern facilities, providing a professional international learning environment.
The school is looking forward to cooperating with Cuu Long University to implement scholarship programs, organize joint training, etc. Regarding the scholarship program of the Japanese Government, Ms. Wakasugi Miho informed that this is a program for final year students in the Health Sciences department of Cuu Long University.
"Participating students will be supported with airfare, food, accommodation, and living expenses for the first 4 months to study Japanese and take the professional certification exam. After completing Japanese language studies and obtaining a professional certification, students must commit to staying in Japan to work for 3-5 years with a fairly high salary," informed Ms. Wakasugi Miho.

After discussion, the two sides agreed on the contents and will proceed to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the near future.
Through the working session, it contributed to creating conditions for students of Cuu Long University, especially students of Health Sciences and Economics, to have more opportunities to study and work in Japan, contributing to improving students' skills, meeting job needs in the integration period.
