Pocket last minute tourist destinations in the North on March 8

If you don't have any plans to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, visitors can refer to the destinations filled with spring flowers in the North, suitable for a short trip this weekend.

Ha Giang

Ha Giang is an ideal destination for traveling on March 8. From late February to early April, flowers such as peach, pear, and plum blossom brilliantly, creating a poetic scene. The temperature here ranges from 15 - 25 degrees Celsius, the cool weather creates favorable conditions for sightseeing and taking check-in photos.

With just a trip of about 2 days and 1 night, visitors can visit famous tourist attractions such as Dong Van stone plateau, Ma Pi Leng pass, Lung Cu flagpole, Meo King's Palace, and enjoy the picturesque Nho Que river.

In particular, visitors will enjoy a series of specialties such as thang co, au tau porridge, five-color sticky rice, buckwheat cake... which are both delicious and unique.

Moc Chau

March is the time when white flowers - a typical flower of the Northwest mountains and forests - bloom. Roads and hillsides covered with white flowers are ideal check-in spots for tourists when coming to Moc Chau. In addition, tourists can also visit the heart-shaped tea hills, take photos and enjoy pure green tea.

In recent years, Moc Chau has developed community tourism in villages such as Ang village (Thai people), Pa Phach village (H'Mong people)... Visitors will experience staying in a homestay designed in the style of a traditional stilt house, living with the locals, participating in cooking, enjoying specialties such as bamboo rice, grilled stream fish, and dried buffalo meat.

Sapa

Sa Pa is a tourist destination that can please the whole family on March 8. Here, spring is the time when “hundreds of flowers bloom”, the terraced fields begin to turn green after winter, creating a scene that is both wild and lyrical.

The cool temperature and dry weather in Sa Pa in early March are very suitable for climbing Fansipan, conquering trekking routes such as Ta Van, Cat Cat, Y Ty... hunting for the sea of clouds. Compared to summer or Tet holidays, March is a time with fewer tourists, helping visitors enjoy a more peaceful and relaxing space.

Tam Dao

About 80km from Hanoi, Tam Dao is a suitable place for weekend travel. In March, Tam Dao often has fog in the early morning and late afternoon, creating a magical scene like a fairyland. In particular, this is also the season of Bauhinia flowers, rhododendrons and many other wild flowers blooming, creating a poetic scene, very suitable for taking pictures.

Coming to Tam Dao town, visitors can climb mountains, explore Bac waterfall, ancient stone church, Ba Chua Thuong Ngan temple and experience activities such as cloud hunting, camping in a fresh, relaxing atmosphere.

Ninh Binh

Ninh Binh is the perfect destination to combine sightseeing and spiritual tourism.

In early March, the rice fields in Tam Coc - Bich Dong begin to turn green, creating a poetic scene when visitors sit on a boat along the Ngo Dong River. This is a great time to trek and admire the rich flora and fauna in Cuc Phuong National Park.
