Hundreds of parents gathered in front of the gate of Tay Mo 3 Primary School.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem district, after parents submit applications to transfer to schools according to the procedures announced by the Department, there are 4 public primary schools that can accept applications including: Tay Mo, Tay Mo 3, Dai Mo 3 and Ly Nam De.
Of which, Dai Mo 3 Primary School received 287 transfer applications, including 75 applications from Ly Nam De Primary School, 38 applications from Dai Mo Primary School, and 174 applications from other schools; Tay Mo Primary School received 98 transfer applications, including 17 applications from Ly Nam De Primary School, 19 applications from Tay Mo 3 Primary School, and 62 applications from other schools.
The Nam Tu Liem Department of Education and Training has established a working group to review transfer applications and agreed with the schools' proposals. Specifically, Dai Mo 3 Primary School will accept 75 students from Ly Nam De Primary School; 38 students from Dai Mo Primary School (if they have sufficient records of residence in Dai Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District); 139 students from other schools (if they have sufficient records of residence in Tay Mo Ward or Dai Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District); 35 students from other schools (if they have sufficient records of residence in Dai Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District).
Tay Mo Primary School receives 17 students from Ly Nam De Primary School; re-admits 19 students from Tay Mo 3 Primary School and receives 62 students from other schools (if there are sufficient records of residence in Tay Mo ward, Nam Tu Liem district).
Ly Nam De Primary School allowed 92 students to withdraw their applications to transfer to Tay Mo Primary School and Dai Mo 3 Primary School; proposed the District People's Committee to strengthen facilities to create conditions to improve the quality of education.
According to the Nam Tu Liem Department of Education and Training, after the separation, Tay Mo 3 Primary School had 30 classes with 1,111 students (excluding the number of students who requested to transfer, the remaining 1,090 students). The school is currently not accepting any more students because the facilities do not meet the requirements.
The Nam Tu Liem Department of Education and Training has requested Dai Mo 3 Primary School and Tay Mo Primary School to publicly announce the list of students accepted for transfer, and instruct parents to complete the transfer procedures according to regulations before 5:00 p.m. on August 30 to promptly stabilize the organization and prepare for the opening of the 2024-2025 school year.
