According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, recently, on the websites, fanpages, social networks... of several public and non-public high schools, information on 10th grade enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year has been unclear.
Many pages specifically state the expected number of 10th grade enrollment targets for the 2025-2026 school year of the unit, while the content has not been assessed and approved by the Department of Education and Training. This causes confusion and negatively affects the reputation of the industry, affects the psychology of parents, students as well as related parties, causing public outrage related to the implementation of the enrollment plan of the city's education and training sector.
Therefore, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City reminded and disciplined the principals of some high schools who did not properly follow the direction of the department in the past.
At the same time, schools are only required to disseminate information and introduce the unit's 10th grade enrollment plan for the 2025-2026 school year regarding the content of the typical and outstanding educational program (if any); the quality of the teaching staff, modern facilities and equipment, some new educational program activities, the content of the school's development strategy, outstanding activities that will be included in teaching, activities in the next school year...
Absolutely do not provide information that has not been reviewed and approved by competent authorities.
Also according to this document, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training requires high schools to perform three tasks in announcing 10th grade enrollment information.
Firstly, schools that have posted inaccurate information about 10th grade enrollment must remove or correct inaccurate information about enrollment information for the 2025-2026 school year.
Second, review, rectify, and thoroughly educate all cadres, teachers, and employees in the school not to arbitrarily post unofficial enrollment information for the 2025-2026 school year on websites, fanpages, social networks, etc.
Third, information related to the 10th grade enrollment quota for the 2025-2026 school year may only be provided on websites, fanpages... and press agencies when the Department of Education and Training has issued an official decision to assign enrollment quotas.

Also according to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the department is currently synthesizing, reviewing, and assessing the conditions of facilities, equipment, and human resources as a basis for assessing and assigning enrollment targets for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year to high schools.
So far, the information about the 10th grade enrollment quota that schools have announced themselves is inaccurate. It is expected that the 10th grade enrollment quota will be announced by the end of March.
Previously, the official information about the enrollment quota for grade 10 public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City said that the enrollment quota for grade 10 public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City in 2025 will increase by at least 5-10% compared to 2024, fluctuating between 70-80%. Therefore, the rate of students entering grade 10 public schools in 2025 will be higher than last year.
