National Assembly's Supervisory Delegation No. 3 conducts a field survey in Muong Ang district

Comrade Vu Hong Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Economic Committee, Deputy Head of the monitoring delegation spoke at the working session with leaders of Muong Ang district.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Muong Ang district, implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction up to now, the district has 2 communes meeting new rural standards (Ang Nua, Bung Lao); 1 commune basically meets 15 criteria (Ang Cang); 6/9 communes meet 10-14 criteria; the average number of criteria is 12.9 criteria/commune. Regarding the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, the poverty rate in 2022 decreased by 7.61% compared to 2021, exceeding the assigned plan target. Regarding the implementation of the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the district, there are still many difficulties such as: The selection of projects to support production development is still confusing; the progress of implementing projects, sub-projects, and program components is still slow; Capital mobilization and disbursement for national target programs, especially socialized resources, and road construction are still limited...

The monitoring delegation requested Muong Ang district to clarify further the work of mobilizing capital to implement the National Target Programs, especially socialized sources for rural traffic construction; difficulties and obstacles in implementing the National Target Programs, especially the National Target Program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; the apparatus, qualifications and capacity of the staff implementing the National Target Programs in communes and towns.

The monitoring delegation visited the fruit tree growing model of the Muong Ang Town Clean Fruit Cooperative.

Muong Ang district proposed that the Government and central ministries and branches pay attention and allocate a budget of 593.8 billion VND to replant coffee trees (293.8 billion VND for the 2023-2025 period) and build an irrigation canal project from Ang Cang lake (300 billion VND).

Comrade Vu Hong Thanh shared the economic and infrastructure difficulties of Muong Ang district. He suggested that the district add the contents requested by the monitoring team to the report; especially the difficulties in implementing projects, sub-projects, new rural criteria; the people's contribution to building new rural areas; the results after inspection and examination of project programs under the 3 National Target Programs. The monitoring team will summarize the difficulties and problems of the localities and submit them to the National Assembly, the Government, and central ministries and branches for consideration.
