At the upstream of To Lich River, in the area of ​​Hoang Quoc Viet, Buoi, Nguyen Dinh Hoan streets (Cau Giay district), for many days now, dozens of workers from Hanoi Drainage Company have been dredging sludge on the river, clearing the flow.

A representative of Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd. said that on the To Lich River, workers are currently collecting and removing waste regularly, ensuring the landscape environment and dredging mud to prepare for the 2025 rainy season drainage plan.

The Mechanical Construction Enterprise is the main unit of the Company, responsible for dredging the sewer system, rivers, lakes... in the inner city, including the To Lich River. From early morning, workers operate cranes to dredge sludge on the To Lich River.

Thick, dense, black, foul-smelling sludge is continuously dredged up from the bottom of the To Lich River by workers and specialized equipment such as cranes.

Solid objects and large waste that cannot be sucked through the pipe will be classified separately, brought ashore, and wait for a vehicle to transport them for disposal.

On the shore, workers adjust the pipeline system that carries sludge from the riverbed to tankers.

The pipes that carry sludge to the tank are always monitored by workers, who check and adjust the pipes promptly to avoid incidents. The unit said that according to the regular work plan, the unit has started implementing the rainy season drainage plan, clearing the flow of the city's main drainage axes.
