At the meeting, General Director of Google Vietnam Marc Woo said: In recent times, especially during the Covid-19 period, Google has cooperated and implemented many projects and solutions related to information technology in education and training. Along with that, Google has also conducted pilots in enhancing Vietnamese for AI tools, enhancing AI applications in general education and higher education.
Google is ready to provide all students and teachers in Vietnam with free access to Google Works, Google Space, and Google Classroom. These AI-powered tools will allow young people, especially students, to be exposed to AI at a very early age.
According to Mr. Marc Woo, Vietnam is a country where the number of students accounts for a large proportion of the national population and Google has also implemented in many countries with similar characteristics. Therefore, to coordinate the two sides more effectively, Google hopes that the Ministry of Education and Training will support after piloting a number of models and solutions, building them into a platform and system with the goal of replicating nationwide.

Emphasizing that the development and application of information technology has always been of interest to Vietnam, especially in the field of education, and agreeing with the ideas that the ultimate goal is for students to develop self-study and teachers to develop teaching from Google, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son said that Google needs to build a common, consistent system from top to bottom and the Ministry of Education and Training will participate as a coordinator, able to review and evaluate the implementation and deployment process.
This system will integrate tools, linked to Vietnamese documents, programs, textbooks, and various data platforms to develop Vietnamese on AI, helping to support Vietnamese students and teachers.
Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son also hopes that through this system, the community spirit can be promoted. “On these platforms, communities must be formed so that teachers and students can connect, exchange experiences, and learn from each other. And through that, the system will record feedback to improve and enhance the platform application,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.

At the meeting, representatives of the two sides discussed the contents, platform construction, system deployment, responsibilities of the participating parties, implementation experience in countries around the world, etc.
Director of the Department of Information Technology (Ministry of Education and Training) Nguyen Son Hai shared that in the digital age, Google has had models that are suitable for world trends and the characteristics of Vietnamese education. However, to apply on a large scale, there needs to be comprehensive solutions and coordination between units to concretize the implementation of the work. In particular, learning from the experiences of countries that have used this system to unify the implementation model suitable for Vietnam is extremely important and necessary.
