The construction site of the pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River connecting Ben Bach Dang Park (District 1) and the riverside park of Thu Thiem New Urban Area (Thu Duc City). The project will start construction on March 29.
The bridge has a total length of about 261m, a total investment of nearly 1,000 billion VND, and is expected to be completed in 2027.
The bridge location is designed between Ba Son bridge and Saigon river tunnel.
The bridgehead on the District 1 side is located on Bach Dang Wharf Park, more than 100m from Me Linh Square.
The starting point of the bridge is constructed right on Bach Dang wharf park, Bach Dang high-speed ferry wharf. Surrounding it are tourist attractions such as Thu Ngu flagpole, Nguyen Hue walking street, Nha Rong wharf, Ton Duc Thang museum,...
On the Thu Duc City side, a part of the Saigon River bank park at the intersection of Nguyen Thien Thanh - N14 will be the starting point of the pedestrian bridge project.
The landscape around Ba Son bridge is becoming greener and cleaner, becoming one of the most beautiful entertainment places in Ho Chi Minh City.
Many people walk across Ba Son Bridge. This is currently the closest pedestrian route connecting Thu Duc with the center of Ho Chi Minh City.
